Painting a Picture in the reader's head

WALT use our senses in our writing to paint a picture in the reader's head.

Here is an example of my writing.  Can you imagine the scene in your head?

I was in the dark, creepy forest. I could hear leaves rustling, birds chirping and water dripping. I walked
along the path. And saw a huge shadow behind me. It was a python snake. It started to slither on me. I
tried to stay still but it climbed on my shoulder. I screamed and ran when I realised that there were
bugs and insects on me. Then I touched my face.  I'd been bitten by the python. I saw a crystal clear lake
nearby. So I went and jumped in. It was so nice I felt I was in a nice warm pool. I got bored. So I went to
go and put my clothes on. Then I started to walk when I saw a pool of snakes. I ran away. TThen they got me so my life was over.
