How to play Bench Ball

This Term for P.E. The first day we learned how to play a game called Bench Ball. Bench Ball is a really fun game to play since it is so fun to play I will tell you how to play. So how do you play Bench Ball?

                 How you play Bench Ball   

What you do first is you will need a team of 5-6 people. One person to be on the bench. The person on the bench will have to help the people that are trying to give it to the person on the bench. If someone in your team throws you the ball that person can come on the bench with you.  Other players in your team can throw it to the other people on the bench with you. When all your teammates are on the bench you win the game.

What you will need: 
6 teams 
Benches
A ball 
Colour bibs 

For teamwork, we were focusing on giving the ball to other people in our team and including them.

In my team, we focused really well on our game and mostly won them.

Revolution Tour

On Tuesday the 28th of May. The Revolution team came to our school and did a performance. Reggie the Manager was really cool and he played his saxophone and put songs on and we got to sing. Then He said that we were going to play a game called Throw your friend under the bus when we heard what he said we thought we could actually throw them under the bus.

What was the best thing's about  the Tour?

The best things about the tour was when the revolution girl's did a dance performance and when we played throw your friends under the bus.


What did you learn from Reggie's talk?

I learnt from Reggie's talk was that his Mother didn't want him any more when she had him and she gave him away.  Reggie was Resilient and was brave  to talk about this to us.

Maths with Miss Birtch

L.O Create a piece of writing that describes a place or setting

My ears were about to explode.The instruments were really loud like
a tigers roar. I started to have butterflies in  my stomach.


As I heard an ASMR sound softly. I felt like I was on a Roller
Coaster.I felt sick that I wanted to get off. Never go back on a
Roller coaster.  

Making Music

Last week in Hurumanu we have been Making Music with Garage Band.

We Had to include 3 instruments,A beginning,Middle,Ending,an ASMR sound and 3 other sounds.

How to play Ki O Rahi

This term we have been playing Ki O Rahi and we have been getting good at playing it. Here are the rules to play Ki O Rahi.



The steps to set-up for Ki O Rahi include;

1. you have to divide people into 2 even teams
2. 1 team will be the non-bibs
3. the second team will be the bib's team
4. you will need cones to mark out the field
5. you will also need the Ki (ball)
6. you will need to set up the field in a circular shape
7. then you will be ready to play



How to play ki o Rahi.

2 teams with  8 players
The teams are called taniwha and Kioma.
Kaitiaki has to protect the tupu.
Kioma is the team that have to hit the Pou around the circle.
Kioma scores by touching the cones or flags.
Taniwha has to throw the ball at the tupu.

Buddhist temple visit

                                                   Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple Visit 

On Tuesday 14th of May 2019 Our school went to the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist
Temple in Riccarton.
 For A school trip my class went with Bh,Ts,Sh and 24 hour youth worker Vinnie.
We first went into the gallery to talk  about what we were going to do first.
First we got into 2 big groups. Then My group went into another room and we each
made a lotus flower then we watched a film.

The film was about the buddhist life. It was very interesting.
Then I felt very sick and I  told whaea Jude she said to just stay with her.
And then we went and got a tattoo but I wanted to keep it and do it at home.
And then they brought out cookies and water I just wanted the water.
So I asked for water and the lady gave it to me.

ASMR

1) Have you heard of ASMR before? 

Yes I watch ASMR like everyday. It calms me it kind of makes me sleepy.





2) What did you feel when you listened to the ASMR music?
I feel satisfied when I hear the sounds. It makes me want to try it. 





3) Is this something you'd like to try making?
I would love to try making ASMR because I have always wanted to try making ASMR and eating it. 

Singer Lorde / Band Six60

Today in Hurumanu I am going to talk to you about New Zealand famous Band and Singers . We had to fill out a sheet for a Band and A singer and pick a New Zealand famous singer and band. For the singer I picked Lorde.


Lorde is a New Zealander Singer.

  


Her legal name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich - O'Conner.



Her birthday is 7 November 1996. 




Her stage name is Lorde.






She has won a award her award was grammy award for song of the year. 




Her genre is Pop Music   





My Favourite song from Lorde is Royal. 

A interesting fact about her is at age five she joined a drama group and developed public speaking skill's.



Now lets get on with the band Six60  





Six60 is a band in New Zealand  with 6 people in it. 




The names are Matiu Walters,Marlon Gerbes ,Chris Mac , Ji Frazer  ,Hoani matenga and Eli paewai.



Awards they have won are New Zealand music awards.  



There genre is R&B. 







A interesting fact about them is they all lived in Dunedin.
