How to play Ki O Rahi


This term we have been playing Ki O Rahi and we have been getting good at playing it. Here are the rules to play Ki O Rahi.



The steps to set-up for Ki O Rahi include;

1. you have to divide people into 2 even teams
2. 1 team will be the non-bibs
3. the second team will be the bib's team
4. you will need cones to mark out the field
5. you will also need the Ki (ball)
6. you will need to set up the field in a circular shape
7. then you will be ready to play



How to play ki o Rahi.

2 teams with  8 players
The teams are called taniwha and Kioma.
Kaitiaki has to protect the tupu.
Kioma is the team that have to hit the Pou around the circle.
Kioma scores by touching the cones or flags.
Taniwha has to throw the ball at the tupu.
